The Studio

Emma Sherlock’s studio is a full-service interior design practice specialising in English country houses and London townhouses.  We work as lead design partners alongside architects, heritage specialists and contractors, bringing a structured approach to spatial master planning and project co-ordination.  Crucial to our practice is building close relationships with our clients to create homes tailored to their way of living.

The studio’s work has been featured in publications including The Telegraph, House and Garden, The English Home and Homes and Gardens amongst others.

Following a long career at Vogue, Emma established her studio in 2016.  With a background in Fine Art, Architecture and History of Art, her work combines a natural eye for colour, scale and proportion and a deep appreciation for English country house style.

Emma has become known for developing unique interiors that feel as though they have naturally evolved over time – pairing a sophisticated colour palette and an upbeat mix of pattern with a considered curation of art and antiques.  Drawing on a trusted network of specialist dealers, art advisors and skilled craftsmen, she balances bespoke joinery with vintage textiles and fine art to deliver characterful homes that are rich, soulful and built to stand the test of time.
